The SA Vegan Society has been busy bringing South African vegans and the vegan-curious together this year with a string of successful events. Here is the low-down of what we’ve been up to
Spring Picnic, Cape Town, 7 November
Cape Town vegans gathered together in Deer Park for a relaxed spring picnic. We had a great turnout and shared delicious vegan food. Hoop Flow Love and Flow DNA brought flow arts to the event and offered free poi lessons, while VFoods sponsored their popular vegan cheese.
Plants on Fire, 24 November, Durban
Durbanites gathered together to celebrate Braai Day / Heritage Day at Love Coffee. It was quite a turnout. Thanks to Fry’s Family Foods for the donations.
Care Reggae Festival, 28, 29 November
Care Reggae Festival is a rural upliftment event bringing love, music and vegan food to the people in the community of Wushwini, kwaNgcolosi/Inanda Dam Area.

Plants & Recreation – 6 December, Durban
Plants & Recreation is a monthly lifestyle event held in Durban. It focus’ around music, art and vegan cuisine with an emphasis on community & connection.
